The opposite: lack of governance slows it down, because every incident freezes projects. Well-implemented governance is a fast lane: low-risk cases pass with minimal review and sensitive ones pass with clear controls. Without rules everything depends on one executive’s nerve; with rules, the team moves knowing exactly how far.
